Relief Factor is a combination of dietary supplements that is sold in individual packets. It promises to reduce or eliminate everyday aches and pains.
What is Relief Factor?
Relief Factor was created by Pete and Seth Talbott, a father son team who appear to own several online businesses and a consulting company. They wanted to release a 100% drug-free supplement to help people get out of pain.
Relief Factor’s website claims that it has helped tens of thousands of Americans get relief from everyday aches and pains. The product is sold in individual packets that contains a combination of dietary supplements.

Relief Factor’s main ingredients are Icariin, Resveratrol, Turmeric, and Omega-3 fatty acids.
Icariin is a compound that is extracted from Epimedium, a traditional Chinese herbal medicine. Icariin (Epimedium) is a major bioactive pharmaceutical constituent isolated from the Chinese medicine Horny Goat Weed (Ying Yang Huo) with potent cardiovascular protective functions.
Emerging evidence in the past decade has shown that Icariin possesses multiple atheroprotective functions, through many mechanisms, including attenuating DNA damage, correcting endothelial dysfunction, inhibiting the proliferation and migration of smooth muscle cells, repressing macrophage-derived foam cell formation and inflammatory responses, as well as preventing platelet activation. In addition, it helps fight physical fatigue and supports joint function.
Resveratrol is a substance that was isolated initially from Veratrum Grandiflorum and is richly present in grapes, wine, peanuts, soy, and berries. Studies utilizing cell cultures and pre-clinical models showed that resveratrol alleviates oxidative stress and inflammation. Furthermore, resveratrol sourced from red wine may provide anti-aging properties and can protect brain health.
Turmeric is a spice that has been used in India for thousands of years. It comes from the root of Curcuma longa, and contains a chemical called curcumin. Turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory and a powerful antioxidant. It also has potent anti-microbial qualities and helps maintain a healthy heart.
Omega-3 Fatty Acids
Omega-3 fatty acids have commonly been used for their anti-inflammatory properties. The two main types areEPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) andDHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid). They can provide increased lubrication of the joints, sharper cognitive ability, and promote healthy, youthful skin.
Relief Factor recommends starting with three packets per day until discomfort moderates. At that point, you can reduce to two packets per day.
Relief Factor has three pricing options: the 3-Week QuickStart, Monthly Subscription, and Single Order.
The 3-Week QuickStart includes 49 packets of Relief Factor, a bottle of Vitamin D3 or C (your choice), and a 147-page “Anti-Inflammation Diet”.
The price is $19.95 + $6.95 shipping and handling. This also enrolls you in a subscription for a full month’s supply of 60 packets that will automatically renew at $79.95 each month until cancelled. The first monthly subscription is sent a few weeks after the 3-Week QuickStart, unless you cancel in time.
Relief Factor says that nearly 95% of people begin by ordering the 3-Week QuickStart. It is unclear what percentage of these people keep their subscription active, and for how long.
The Monthly Subscription includes 60 packets of Relief Factor (a full month’s supply) and a “free gift”. The free gift isa bottle of Vitamin D3 or C (your choice).
The price is $79.95 + $6.95 shipping and handling. The monthly subscription will automatically renew at $79.95 each month until cancelled. You also get the free gift each month with your renewal orders.
The Single Order option includes 60 packets of Relief Factor(a full month’s supply). There is no free gift included with this option.
The price is $93.95 +$6.95 shipping and handling, but at least you won’t have to worry about cancelling a monthly subscription.
Relief Factor Reviews
Relief Factor is unique because they do not have a spot for general customer reviews on their website. Most e-commerce stores display authentic customer reviews directly on their website (good and bad). Relief Factor’s official website only displays three very convincing video customer reviews, so we had to check some other websites to find authentic customer reviews.
Not surprisingly, most of the negative reviews are from customers who ordered the 3-Week QuickStart and kept getting billed every month despite multiple efforts to cancel. We were able to find reviews on three websites.
Better Business Bureau
Relief Factor’s average review rating is only 1.64/5 based on 43 customer reviews with the Better Business Bureau. Here are some screenshots from their website.
Relief Factor’s average review rating is 3.2/5 based on 3 customer reviews on Trustpilot. Here are some screenshots from their website.
Relief Factor’s average review rating is 4.7/5 based on 571 customer reviews on Birdeye. Birdeye appears to be a review management platform that helps businesses manage their reviews across different websites like Google and Facebook. The reviews appear to be legitimate, but we were surprised that there are absolutely no 1-2 star reviews, which were common on the Better Business Bureau and Trustpilot.
Here are some screenshots from Birdeye’s website. It also appears that Relief Factor has responded to most of these reviews.
Is Relief Factor a Scam?
We don’t believe that Relief Factor is necessarily a scam, however, it appears to be four everyday supplements that are neatly packaged in individual packets and sold at a high price. It is also missing some ingredients that are known to support joint health, like glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate.
We don’t like the idea of selling a 3-Week QuickStart for only $19.95 + $6.95 shipping and handling, then enrolling those customers in a subscription for a full month’s supply of 60 packets that will automatically renew at $79.95 each month until cancelled.
To be fair, Relief Factor clearly states this information on their website, but some customers might not be aware that they need to cancel to avoid being billed a significantly higher price just a few weeks after ordering their 3-Week QuickStart. This also doesn’t give the customer much time to evaluate their results before the subscription is renewed.
If 95% of their customers really choose the 3-Week QuickStart option, then it should be easy to cancel online with just one click. This might be the case, but most of the customers who left negative reviews had a difficult time cancelling. However, these could be isolated incidents or customers that didn’t realize that they signed up for a subscription.
If you decide to order the 3-Week QuickStart from Relief Factor, it might be a good idea to use a different credit card than the one you regularly use in case you have a difficult time cancelling and need to change your card number to avoid recurring charges.
It is also worth noting that Relief Factor does not offer a money-back guarantee if the product doesn’t work for you; however, they will accept returns that are unopened within 90 days of the original purchase.
Is Relief Factor Available at Walmart, Amazon, or Other Stores?
According to Relief Factor, it is only sold on their website and is not available in stores or on any other websites. We searched for it on Walmart and Amazon with no results. The product appears to be sold on eBay, but those are probably unauthorized resellers.
What Are the Side Effects of Relief Factor?
Relief Factor’s main ingredients include Icariin, Resveratrol, Turmeric, and Omega-3 Fatty Acids. As with any dietary supplement, there is the potential for side effects. Please see the details below.
Icariin Side Effects
Potential side effects of Icariin (Horny Goat Weed) include dry mouth, dizziness, vomiting, thirst, nose bleeds, spasms, breathing problems, irregular heartbeats, low blood pressure, and fainting.
Resveratrol Side Effects
Resveratrol does not have many known side effects, but it might interact with blood thinners. This could increase your chance of bleeding.
Turmeric Side Effects
Turmeric does not usually cause serious side effects. Mild side effects might include nausea, dizziness, upset stomach, and diarrhea.
Omega-3 Fatty Acids Side Effects
Potential side effects of Omega-3 Fatty Acids include a fishy taste in your mouth, nausea, upset stomach, and loose stools.
Cheaper Alternatives to Relief Factor
We’re glad you asked! We offer a similar product with better ingredients, no individual packets, and at a much more attractive price point. In addition, there are only two options for purchasing: one time purchase or saving 15% with a monthly subscription that can be easily cancelled with one click under the ‘Subscriptions’ tab in your account.

Icariin, an anti-atherosclerotic drug from the Chinese medicinal herb, Horny Goat Weed. Icariin (Epimedium) is a major bioactive pharmaceutical constituent isolated from Chinese medicine Horny Goat Weed (Ying Yang Huo) with potent cardiovascular protective functions. Emerging evidence in the past decade has shown that Icariin possesses multiple atheroprotective functions, through multiple mechanisms, including attenuating DNA damage, correcting endothelial dysfunction, inhibiting the proliferation and migration of smooth muscle cells, repressing macrophage-derived foam cell formation and inflammatory responses, as well as preventing platelet activation. Resveratrol, the Phenolic Substance Isolated initially from Veratrum Grandiflorum and richly present in grapes, wine, peanuts, soy, and berries. Studies utilizing cell cultures and pre-clinical models showed that resveratrol alleviates oxidative stress and inflammation. Furthermore, our resveratrol, sourced from red wine, may provide anti-aging properties, and can protect brain health.*
Antarctic Krill Oil: Protects against Oxidative Stress, Neuro-Inflammation and Cognitive Impairment. Our Krill oil is rich in Omega-3 Fats EPA and DHA. It is capable of being absorbed by the body much faster than fish oil, and this eliminates any fishy aftertaste. Our Krill is fresh and is sourced from the finest suppliers from the North Pacific Ocean. It can provide increased lubrication of the joints, sharper cognitive ability and promotes healthy, youthful skin.*
Tonkat Ali: Daily supplementation with tongkat ali root extract can improve the stress hormone profile, and certain mood state parameters, suggesting that this “ancient” remedy may be an effective approach to shielding the body from the detrimental effects of “modern” chronic stress. This may include general day-to-day stress, as well as the stress resulting from sleep deprivation or exercise training.*
Mucuna Pruriens: M. pruriens has been shown to have anti-parkinson and neuroprotective effects, which may be related to its anti-oxidant activity. In addition, the anti-oxidant activity of M. pruriens has also been demonstrated in vitro, by its ability to scavenge DPPH radicals and reactive oxygen species.*
Glucosamine Sulfate: Glucosamine is a natural compound found in cartilage, the tough tissue that cushions joints. In supplement form, glucosamine is harvested from shells of shellfish. People use glucosamine sulfate orally to treat a painful condition caused by the inflammation, breakdown and eventual loss of cartilage (osteoarthritis).*
Chondroitin Sulfate: Chondroitin Sulfate is another molecule found in cartilage. It has been studied less than Glucosamine, but early results show that it also seems to work as an anti-inflammatory and reduces pain. Some laboratory studies suggest that Chondroitin Sulfate may slow cartilage breakdown associated with osteoarthritis and even stimulate cartilage growth.*
Boswellia: Boswellia, or Indian frankincense, is a resin herbal extract from the boswellia tree, which natural medicine practices have used for centuries. Its anti-inflammatory effects mean that it may help with inflammatory conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis. Because it is an effective anti-inflammatory, it can be an effective painkiller and may prevent the loss of cartilage.*
MSM: MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is an organic sulfur compound that’s naturally derived during the earth’s rain cycle. Sulfur is present in many natural unprocessed foods, but it’s quickly lost during the cooking process. MSM is gaining a lot of attention due to the recent focus on longevity and anti-aging technologies. Research has shown that MSM is highly effective in improving joint flexibility. Additionally, it helps to produce flexible skin and muscle tissue. This leads to an increase in overall flexibility, due to a restoration of the “juiciness” in the tissues.*
Quercetin: Helpful with arthritis pain, increases stamina, and supports a healthy heart and respiratory system.
Methionine: Produces collagen to support skin, hair, and nails and is also a powerful antioxidant that slows the aging process.
Bromelain: Its anti-inflammatory qualities helps with arthritis and asthma and supports a healthy heart.
